H26 / Bikram Yoga

Our H26 (also called Bikram) classes is one of our 7 hot yoga classes. We offer two modalities of H26: a traditional 90-minute sequence and a 60-minute version called H26 Express. Students perform a set sequence of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises in a room heated to 105 degrees Fahrenheit with 40% humidity. The sequence is designed to deeply stretch and strengthen the body by utilizing the heat to enhance flexibility and detoxification; the consistent sequence, practiced in a mirrored room, is intended to be accessible to all levels of yogis, with a focus on alignment and mindful breathing throughout the practice.

Key points about H26 Yoga:

Heated Room:
The most defining feature is the 105 degree heated environment, which is meant to warm up muscles and allow for deeper stretching.

Set Sequence:
Every H26 class follows the same sequence of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises, ensuring consistency and allowing students to focus on refining their form over time.

Mirrors:
Mirrors on the walls help monitor your alignment and body positioning.

Verbal Instruction:
The instructor provides detailed verbal cues to guide students through the poses, emphasizing proper form and breathing techniques.

Beginner Friendly:
While challenging due to the heat, H26 yoga is considered suitable for beginners as the consistent sequence allows for adaptation to individual needs.
